Angeline Hartmann
Communications Director, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children

With decades of experience as a broadcast journalist, Angeline Hartmann is a passionate and influential advocate for crime victims, using multiple platforms to amplify their stories and help drive the pursuit of justice.

As Director of Communications at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Angeline leads national outreach efforts and works directly with law enforcement and families to keep their cases in the public eye. She also serves as a spokesperson for the organization and is a regular contributor on the hit television series “On Patrol: Live” on the REELZ Network, where she brings attention to missing children cases.

Before joining the National Center, Angeline worked closely with law enforcement agencies across the country as a Correspondent and Producer for the iconic television show, “America’s Most Wanted” with John Walsh. Angeline also appears regularly as a crime analyst on a variety of network television shows and helped create the popular crime series, “ATL Homicide” on TV One. Searching for new ways to support families, she launched her own podcast in 2018. “Inside Crime with Angeline Hartmann” offers fresh perspectives, beyond the headlines, from those directly impacted by crime. Her podcast reached a significant milestone recently when it helped solve a 1999 John Doe case in DeKalb County, Georgia. More than two decades after the crime, a listener came forward with information that ultimately led to the identification of the child as 6-year-old William DaShawn Hamilton.

Over the years, Angeline’s impactful reporting has earned her multiple Emmy Awards and recognition from law enforcement agencies for her help in criminal investigations. And her dedication to helping others extends beyond her work in true crime. A longtime member of the Asian American Journalists Association, Angeline actively mentors aspiring journalists, helping to shape the next generation of newsroom leaders.
